Need to rant.

I should have checked ds earlier. When I went to bed I found him asleep covered in poo. Nappy off, new pyjamas covered. Face, legs and hands with one little poo clenched in each fist. Poo on the white curtains.

I was hoping we could avoid this one and - to my surprise - it made me feel so angry. Not the best end to a very unsuccessful day of toilet training. What are the reasons for smearing? Is it the multi-sensory experience? He was in the dark and couldn't have seen very well.
Just left me feeling totally flat and pissed off

I don't know WHAT they like about it! Maybe its the texture, smell, availability.... Also they don't know that its inappropriate/yucky, certainly DS had no idea of that. Its hard not to feel angry but it doesn't help.

springgreens, for the future if this is becomes a regular occurrence...try putting nappy on back to front, keep using all-in-one vests that do up underneath, and try and get some big all-in-one pjs and put them on back to front too. sorry about your curtains....
