DD is nearly 5 and has had almost 3 years of SALT and still has poor pronunciation. She starts mainstream school in Sept with 20 hours of LSA support and a package of SALT. She will have 8 weeks without any SALT over the holidays.

I am considering trying something different privately during the holidays such as the listening programme or similar. It has been suggested that she may have APD but is too young to test. Does anyone have any experiences? She is very cooperative to do something each day.

We did AIT with good results.
Also earobics.

We've done Therapeutic listening on the NHS (made good progress whilst on the program but lost approx 50% of new skills once off). We did AIT but didn't help DD2 at all and have done The Listening Program with bone conduction for the last year and have been really pleased with it. The latter 2 were done privately.

Hi all,

MumgoingcraZy, can I ask how you went about getting the therapeutic listening please?

mumgoingcrazy · 23/06/2014 21:10

Therapeutic listening was given to us by our NHS OT.
