Hi, we are relocating to Bath from South Africa (Irish family) and I need to find a special needs school for my son - 10 yrs and diagnosed with Asperger's and severe Dyspraxia. Have been told we need a 'statement' in the UK before he can be placed in a school and this process can take 6 months(?). I have plenty of reports from SA stating that he is not a candidate for mainstream schooling. Can anyone please give me some advice on best area to live in so that I'm within the catchment for a special needs and good primary and secondary school. I really don't know where to start but I'm travelling there next week to try and start the ball rolling. Any help would be much appreciated!
