Anybody postponed the Tribunal hearing date or gave up altogether because their case was falling apart?

My case is falling apart... The main argument to keep ds in preschool another year and then start SS - the Head of SS who told me next year there will be peer group for him is now saying she cannot guarantee this (this September is first time they are not having any KS1 kids).

The educ.psychologist was behaving weirdly yesterday at named MS school and I have no idea if her report will support our view that ds needs SS.

To top it all off, LA SEN officer was present and I was stunned into silence and didn't throw her out.

Evidence d/l is next Friday, no time to look for other schools.

The only course of action I'm taking today is going to GP for anti-depr. cause I'm just too fucking tired and broken by the system.

I'd agree with you that the reason there are no places this year is because the LA has brow-beaten parents into believing that there is no alternative apart from mainstream.

This is why the HT can't tell you if there will be a peer group as she is waiting for children to get in via tribunal. A lot can happen in a year and maybe more parents will get through tribunal to it by the time DS starts?

Could you ask the HT directly if there are any other parents in the process of tribunal? No harm asking her even if she can't answer.

Or are there any parents support groups in C where you could find similar parents?

Our LA has form for trying to maintain we are alone and unique in the County not wanting mainstream...

yes unfortunately, they still took him on and is place in a class with lot older age appropriate able to communicate. DS is so lost!

Towie I have contacted local charity, unfortunately the woman with knowledge is not there until next week.

This whole stinking system is so unaccountable, it's disgusting.

I think the Head wasn't malicious, she genuinely doesn't know - but that's not enough for Tribunal and she shouldn't have tell me she won't let the situation repeat itself next year, cause I built my whole case on it.
