its his new song R.U.D.E.B.O.X one of the lyrics says "Ok then back to baseheads dance like you just won at the special Olympics"

well that has got my blood boiling its hard enough for our kids in society with out him making comments like that, i loved robbie in take that right up till this point there was no need for that lyric at all.

what does everyone else make of it??

I'd no idea they were the lyrics, they bleep it out on the radio so just presumed it was swearing. That's not good and doesn't seem to add anything to the lyrics either so pretty pointless.

I didn't think he was being derogatory here TBH. Thought he just meant dance around.

Although think the song is pants.

I have met him in real life as he used to go out with one of myfriends and he is a twat anyway, so take no notice

redbull · 03/09/2006 20:00

well from what i think baseheads do a lot of head banging so to me its saying that SN people jump around and have no controll over their body and stand out in public.

i think if he meant they dance then why not say that insted og involving the special needs

and if he was just being "derogatory" then why on radio play bleep it out.

i have searched the net trying to find somewhere where i can make a point about it where he would read it (as he is such a bighead he has even said he searches his own name)

I've never heard the record but I have understood for some years that he does a lot of work for a school or residential place for people with autism. I think his mum is involved in it or works there. So I always thought he was autism-aware and actively supportive of people with ASD.....

redbull · 03/09/2006 20:53

well it depend on what you decide the lyrics mean

The song is pish. He just wants to be shocking and 'show off'. He thinks he's so wonderful he can say anything.

mosschops30 · 03/09/2006 20:57

i dont know anything about baseheads but dont think people would have taken offence if he'd have said 'dance like you just won the olympics', but that doesnt fit so as with the rest of the (crap) song I think its just added for wordage not to cause offence.

I dont see the difference of dancing if you won the olympics/special olympics or anything else really!

mrs2shoes · 03/09/2006 23:19

agree Redbull He is a pratt

aitch71 · 03/09/2006 23:27

isn't there another lyric about stepping on a landmine? lovely guy, very bright obviously.

PinkMilk · 18/09/2006 13:29

Not to mention another charming lyric " you don't sweat much for a fat lass" . He seems to have been on a mission to offend as many people as possible.

Basehead has nothing to do with SN as far as I know, isn't it a term for a druggie? Googled the lyrics and they made absolutely no sense whatsoever, so nothing new there.

Greensleeves · 18/09/2006 13:53

He used to go out with one of my friends too, she said he was a spoilt git and a rotten kisser

Greensleeves · 18/09/2006 13:53

We used to call him the Tunstall Terror
