vegepa is on amazon subscribe and save - does for lazy moi.

Are there any issues with krill oil and mercury build up? raising a child in inner London pollution I was particularly wary of introducing any additional heavy metals via supplementation.

Hi TulipsandClogs, as a nutrition scientist at Igennus I would definitely recommend Vegepa as although some early studies suggested the type of fats in Krill might be slightly easier to absorb than those found in Vegepa, this has since been shown to not be true. The amount of active ingredient (EPA omega-3 - the bit that actually improves our health) in Krill, compared with Vegepa, is very low and yet the price is considerably higher. Studies show that the 'hype' around krill's superior health benefits is incorrect and misleading. The health benefits for brain and inflammatory illnesses are by far better when using pure EPA over those that can be gained with krill.

Are you using Vegepa for a specific reason or just general health? If you are still unsure it's worth calling us at Igennus to ask further questions as we know quite bit about Krill and can help you unpick the science to make the best decision. 01223421434.

Hey Rusty!

Apologies in the delay in replying. But yes we use Vegepa. My children use the chewables, two have dyslexia and a little ADD, but the health benefits alone are great. So now we all take them, all 5 of us. (I swapped from the mind1st ones recently to yours. Very very happy, and thanks for the info, the TV commercials are what made me question! Naive.. Very happy you replied and will stick where we are all comfortable. My only question would be is that my eldest and youngest have been having the highest dose, to build them up, after how many months could I bring them down to the minimum (we get through 14 chewables a day!) and is it ok for them to take the in the morning or should I split the dose, the children are so much more mailable in the morning.

Thanks again!

Hope that helped you bo head!
