DD1 had a fab cardiac consult

Dd1 has annual cardiac appts and I was a little concerned with her circulation a month or so ago but as everything else seemed fine and it seemed to go away I did not bring it up.

Anyway fast forward to annual appt...... cardiologist says her heart is brilliant - sounds like it should - smallest murmur due to tiny leak ( always had since surgery) In fact he said there are good repairs and average repairs and hers is a very good repair. There are good leaks and not so good leaks and her leak is brilliant ( meaning it is great)

He even offered to check dd2 out next year - due to dh's heart conditions ( only diagnosed last year) she is at a 1 in 50 risk of having a heart condition - as is baby no3....

Just so relieved to hear that dd1's cardiac stuff is great - especially after a very turbulent time post surgery....

eidsvold that is great news. With dd it's the cradiac that always worries me the most.
My dd's condition has almost corrected itself as she has grown, she now has minimal PVs, which is a great relief.
Glad that they are taking no chances with your dd2 as well.
Hope it all turns out great for you xx

You must be so relieved eidsvold, what great news I know how worrying it can be leading up to a cardiology appt, I'm always in a right panic with my ds, he has a 50% chance of getting my heart condition and I almost convince myself that we're always going to walk out of the hospital with bad news, but so far, fingers crossed all has been well. It looks like they're really looking after your little ones

great to hear that, eidsvold.

I always get so worked up before the cardiac appointments (for no good reason, I must add), it's nice to hear your good news.

That's great news eidsvold

me too geekgrrl - her hands and feet have been a bit blue of a morning and it worried me but no problem according to the doc. I always think the leaky valve is going to be bad and she will need more surgery.

Eidsvold - dd has 3 leaky valves now. They'd usually go for meds first rather than surgery so you can be worry free for some time I think.

We do mottled here rather than blue - think corned beef lol!
