Has anyone ever succeeded in making their LA pay their legal fees for having made them go to Tribunal when its awarded in your favour? Or has anyone sued for this?

Haaaa haa ha!

Sorry for laughing hysterically. No. Angry

I even went to the LGO who decided that even though my LA broke the law and were guilty of maladministration when doing my DS's final statement, the LA didn't have to repay my Tribunal costs.

I didn't even bother with applying to the Tribunal because they would have said no as a matter of course, and it would have cost me a great deal of money in solicitors' fees to attempt to claim the costs via the Tribunal Services.

Until LAs are forced to repay parents' costs, and bodies like the LGO fine them when they break the law, LAs will continue to drag parents to unnecessary Tribunals

I have heard of one or two parents doing this but more usual in situations where been for eg last minute change in case or concession. You have to show it was unreasonable behaviour by LA to have defended it.
