Here are some suggested organisations that offer expert advice on special needs.

Has anybody used The Sensory Smart Child in Walton on Thames? Or other OT's in Surrey/London area?

I am trying to get my DS assessed for SPD which I am pretty sure he has. School are being useless and the developmental paediatrician we saw mentioned it but we can't get another appt. Plus everything is so slow in the nhs and he is getting worse.

I got a quote of £450 plus vat for an initial assessment at The Sensory Child but I am nervous to part with so much money!

Any experiences or recommendations appreciated!

We've used these people in Surbiton - I was very impressed. www.sensationalkids.co.uk/Pages/default.aspx

Hi ruthio17,
did you take your child there? I am planning to take my daughter that so wanted to know the feedback.
Thanks

Yes, they’re lovely! My son has had his OT assessment & also a speech & language assessment now too. He’s about to start doing a few sessions with them too. All the therapists seem so nice. First impressions of the building they’re in isn’t so good but the actually therapy rooms are great!
Hope that helps. X
