Do I need to get a copy of DS's IEP/SA+ thing to send with the DLA application?

Helpful title in case anyone else has the same question in future (having trawled loads of 'DLA Question' threads) . Although other people are probably brighter than I am and know the answer! I know I'm supposed to have a copy of DS's IEP but I've never seen it so I suspect he's not actually got one. He has been on SA+ since last year though.

Thanks all - I really didn't believe Cerebra saying you might need 6 weeks to complete the form but it's unbelievably exhausting isn't it? :(

I shall do that. I'm trying to get it done before his birthday next week and after having a good conversation with the head of the CAMHS team today who agreed that minecraft is not the devil's work and is going to fasttrack DS to seeing a child psychologist, I feel on a bit of a roll but this is like skiing into mud!

I agree with Polter, send everything you can. But if you've got plenty of other documentation, don't worry if you can't get the IEP.

I didn't for my DS (school hadn't bothered to do one) so I sent ADOS report, paed report, final diagnosis report & ed psych report. They didn't ask for any more info from the school & DS was awarded DLA.

That's interesting Borka - I've got a 20 page report from the specialist communication and integration teacher and a 22 page report from the (private) OT. The paed and the NHS OT reports are a bit vague apart from saying he has 'significant' problems. I was going to leave them out but I assume they'll think it's a bit odd if I don't include them?

He's also just been referred for an ADHD assessment so the narrative section in that his CT is currently writing might actually do instead of the IEP as it asks about the difficulties he has and the interventions that are in place. Our senco is a bit of a chocolate teapot and I suspect I'll be waiting until easter if I need her to do something!
