When I went to wake ds (age 5) this morning, I found him asleep with pants on, and his dry nappy on the floor, I woke him and asked him when he had taken his nappy off, and he said, last night after getting into bed, his bed was dry, and after praising him I said, shall we throw away your nappies now, and he said , yes, I then said if he ever needs a wee in the night he can call me and I will turn a light on for him, and he said, ok mum, but I wont call you I can do it all myself

Awww! He sounds lovely.

Well done to your ds. Do you think he could come and give lessons to my 2 boys?

I discussed throwing the nappies away with him a few weeks ago, i tried for 3 nights but the idea distraughted him so I just left it and decided not to mention it again for a while, he has obviously been thinking about it himself since, bless him, I suppose he just needed some time to get used to the idea
