My daughter is almost 16 and has had a blue badge since she was about 5. She has severe learning difficulties and global developmental delay. She receives the mid rate care component of DLA and low rate mobility.
Her badge is due for renewal in April. I contacted the council and was told to apply online. Letter from them today turning her application as she does not have a 'permanent and substantial disability which causes inability to walk or very considerable difficulty in walking'. They have allowed one month to obtain reports about her mobility difficulties and I'm waiting for the school OT and physio to call me back. Not holding out much hope, any ideas would be welcome.
