I read with interest the worst place to live thread, and have been wondering today about where is a GOOD place to live if you have a child with SEN?

Is anyone out there happy with their local authority and provision for their child?

Would be so nice (not to mention useful) to hear of good places!

Thank you

Hi, what borough are you referring to please?
I'm looking to move soon and have a child with special needs and it'd be helpful to know.

Thanks!

Friends in the London borough of Richmond say it's great there.

Mid Essex LA sen team are absolutely appalling I am actually moving for this reason so hopefully my child will have a chance of an education.

Cambridge (city, not county)

Logic behind this-
Well funded council
Good schools - lots of provision (autism, SLD)
Major hospital (centre of excellence) which can do all treatments and had ICU provision
Good schools for siblings
Vibrant and understanding pedestrian friendly city

Bad points
London prices
County is remote, city is an island
