Vegepa dosage - any TH'ers can advise?

I've just received my order of Vegepa chewables and 500mg capsules and wondered if any of you following Tinsley House can guide me on dosage please.

My DS is 9 and is up for trying to swallow the capsules but I may need to use chewables if that's not successful. Capsules say 1 a day - is that correct even from the start or do I double dose for 3 months? If I use the chewables, it says 4-6 per day. Would I do say 6 for 3 months then 4 thereafter do you think?

My DD is 6 and small for her age. Her recommended dosage is 2-4 capsules per day - would I do 4 for 3 months then 2?

Just wondering if Robin recommends anything specific since the packet instructions give a dosage range?

Sorry, follow-up question! What's the school of thought on not giving full dosage - is it an all or nothing scenario?

I'm thinking I may struggle to get 6 capsules down my DS - he tried one today and didn't like it at all - so I'll be mixing the contents of the chewables into drinks if he can't swallow the other capsule type. Thanks.
