Today Dd1 had a party for her 4th birthday - bit windy but still lovely and sunny - so we had it at the local park - the children seemed to enjoy themselves. Dd1 got a bit overwhelmed at one stage but she did really well. Very proud of her today - she was tired and thoroughly grubby when it was time to come home but she loved it.

Kept it low key - one treasure hunt game, then they played on all the play equipment, had a break for some crisps and a drink, more playing and then decorating door hangers, morning tea, more playing, birthday cake and home.

The other children seemed to enjoy themselves.

Me - I am knackered from doing bits and pieces and making cakes, sandwiches etc.

Dd1 had a flower bouquet cake - made with green mazipan stalks, patty cake flowers, sugar butterflies, and some spearmint leaves.
