dds statement was finalised in dec to include termly monitoring of communication skills frm slt. Nhs slt have now discharged her completely handing her therapy over to her ta. dds main s&l problem is her speech clarity, she has dx of phonological disorder and verbal dx of verbal dyspraxia. she also has problems with her grammar, her sentences are sometimes disordered. all other aspects of slt are on par with her peers. slt verbally discharged due to dd needing continuous therpy accross all settings and she said as its a motor disorder its not really a slt issue but an ot issue (who have also discharged!)

I have phoned lea and asked how they intended to provide the monthly slt monitoring and they mentioned amending the statement to not include the slt. statement was only finalised in dec ffs!Sad

now im unsure if this is worth rocking the boat so to speak. we are already going to tribunal about part3 of statement and im in process of arranging indi slt assessment. is it worth me ringing slt and lea and asking them to provide the provision written in statement or shall I just wait for tribunal? I know the lea will not provide the slt without a fight and im beginning to feel as if im making a fuss over nothing and being greedy Sad

Write and ask to provide as it creates a paper trail for tribunal.
