This guy is a leading academic in this filed. Very few other people in the UK are doing this stuff and the children who are benefitting are doing incredibly well-as are all the staff he trains. My top recommendation for 2014

Hopefully sometime lol! What dates is your conference this year? Is it in September again? Are you going to Chicago?

moondog · 04/01/2014 21:02

Not sure yet.
Committee meeting next month.
Our primary goal is increasing no. of BCBAs in LEA and PCT, so in throues of organising formal supervision for those who have done the MSc but not sat the exam.
You are so welcome anytime as you know but as always, sounds like things thriving down your end. Smile
No, not Chicago this year which is a shame as CH has won a major award so all bursting with pride.
Skiing with the family in February instead.
Probably will attend next year.
You?

Thanks Moondog.

And CONGRATULATIONS on the BCBA!!!

PleasantSpice · 05/01/2014 08:28

Yes I am off to Chicago taking one of my staff too who sits her BCABA in February. If your conference is in September I probably won't be there again, as this time I'm getting married and going on honeymoon!!!!
Huge congratulations to CH, amazing news!!!! Great to hear about you increasing the number of BCBAs in LEAs and PCTs, great plan!

moondog · 05/01/2014 09:53

Thank you Trying. Smile
Ooh congratulations Pleasant on impending nuptials!
Also are you and your colleague presenting?
Yes, CH is the first European and youngest recipient ever of SABA award. Make sure you listen to his speech and also meet up with him.

Someone give me a grant please.......................................................................

StarlightMcKingsThree · 05/01/2014 16:21

I just got 100% in my latest assessment for my OU Understanding Autism Course....................

Though admittedly it isn't postgraduate.

(an attempt to get into the discipline of studying so that the practicalities are sorted, if not the finance)

PleasantSpice · 05/01/2014 18:44

Well done starlight! I think one of our therapists had a grant this year for the MSc in Glamorgan uni. Moondog, no we are not presenting this year Hmm had hoped to at least have a poster but time has run away from us! I am really looking forward to Chicago though! Wish you were coming though Hmm

moondog · 05/01/2014 19:45

I might still come......
I would really like to.
I consider it a holiday really. It is all so reinforcing.
Well done Star. No mean feat with three small children to deal with.
You just have to grit your teeth and go for it.
I can't even begin to count the hours and hours I have put into all of this. I do a lot of work/revision in bed however. I go up early with a re3levant text and read.
