I have just found again that DS has hidden 2-3 days with of tablets that he's told me he's taken! He'd shoved them behind a cabinet.
Does anyone have any advice on how to get through to him how important medication is?
I know I'm going to have to watch like a hawk from now on but still, I'd like something to do/say that will make him stop this behaviour, I would get his dr to talk to him but he regresses to very young behaviour when he's at the hospital.
I've heard it's normal in teens to rebel against a regular medical routine but DS is an immature 9! He has cf so has on average 16 pills to take twice a day, physio and nebs. It's always been a fight but how many years before he accepts it.
He doesn't struggle to swallow tablets either, he can take up to 10 at nice with one gulp of water, so why pretend?!
I can kinda understand a lengthy, boring nebuliser or physio session, but a few seconds of pill taking....
Help, please?!
