I don't normally do this kind of thing, but am so proud of ds today and knew you lot might get it.
Ds's amazing TA is leaving tomorrow to go back to Australia. She's been with him since reception (now Y2) and has been absolutely brilliant - discreet support, working enthusiastically and so intelligently with our ABA team, has done so much on her own initiative that just fits right in with the approach we want, etc etc. Anyway, I suggested ds write her a leaving card, and sat down with him and said "ok shall we plan what you might want to write" but he said "it's ok, I know what to say". And this was it (including his spelling
):
Dear Miss x
I am very sad you are leaving England. I will really miss you. I just wish you could always stay at [xx school]. I want you to stay but I know you can't. You have been great fun great games.
I never want you to leave. But I can visit you and I can send messages or email's if I want to speek to you.
As I wish you Goodbye I remember I shall give you a gift.
all the love in my heart [ds]
xxxxxxxxxx
Dp and I got lumps in our throat reading it, and so proud as this time a couple of years ago he wouldn't have a clue what to write in a letter. Also laughing a bit as it's so delightfully quirky
