My turn for a minor boast

DD3 is Mary in the school nativity Grin

DD1 was an angel
DD2 was a christmas bauble.

I'm not sure what DD3 was meant to be, but when 'Mary' burst into tears and said she'd rather be an angel, DD3 approached the teacher and said 'I'll do that thing...whatever it is.'

A bit of debate ensued between the two Yr R teachers, because DD3 is in the class that the 'Joseph' was chosen from, and 'Mary' was from the other class, so the other class teacher felt that it really should be one of her girls.

Apparently, DD3 walked up to them as they were debating and said 'you know that thingy...whatever it is....I will do it, you know....'

They decided she'd earned the role for having the gumption to offer herself twice Grin

Fantastic gumption goes a long way.

Dd was most irritated in nursery that she was the angel Gabriel and not Mary even though Mary said nothing and Gabriel had the longest speaking part in the whole thing.

I'm sure she will be an excellent Mary.

Well done , she deserves to be given the role for having the guts to go up and ask for it , not once but twice .
Very well done to your little one . That takes a lot of confidence in first place to go speak to two teacher about the role .
Here's to her shining in the lime light .

The best bit was when I was naively saying 'you should practice carrying baby Jesus' and she said 'I can't carry Jesus - he's 5!!!'

It turns out a boy in her class is playing Jesus Grin

I think I should go on a documentary called 'extreme Parenting'. My girls are all so different that I would wonder if they had the same father if I didn't know better!
