What is a nursing appointment for a child with asd for?

Dd has a appointment and on the letter it says nursing what is this for?

Ooooohhh, it would be like holding a Golden Ticket round this way! No ASD specialist nurse in our locality, or indeed in the entire County. Hope it is productive.

We have learning disability nurse at our CDC but like raffle its rare to get an invite. They gatekeep that resource for children with SLD round here - she deals with issues like toileting, sleeping etc so even though children across the spectrum need that help its rationed for SLD only.
