So ds had his dx yesterday. While with his pead she said "what's 7 + 3" after a puzzled look from ds said put ten blocks in front of him "can you count them?" Ds looked confused. " how many fingers am I holding up?" Ds looked confused. " how many fingers do you have?" Ds starts to count - 10. "Can you write 10 for me?" Ds writes 8 " what did you write down?" Ds "6!" But this was a target on his IEP he has had on his IEP since year r - learn and recognise numbers 1-9. Surely that's evidence his intervention is failing?

I am submitting as evidence - but should submit now with his dx or gather all I can and reveal at the last minute when it's to late for the lea to prove me wrong?

I'd probably wait and see what the paediatrician puts in the report. Is paed providing a written report?

She is only doing her normal six monthly review report. She mentions normally a lot of what happened in the assessment - but not everything. She has mentioned his dx before but never put that in any report. This time she did say he is very defiantly dyspraxic and to me that's his formal dx. She knows I am going to tribunal and she wasn't happy that school are not on board. So I hope her report packs some punch. Never really know till you see it though. She also said he very clever as a learning difficulty - but even that's not enough for help it seems

DS1's primary contact is with CAMHs, lately, so I asked his Psych to write a report specifically to submit to tribunal - it might be worth asking for something like that, with a bit more background on than the usual post-appointment report.

Good idea - thanks. I will ask for that when I send back her conners questionnaire - thank you!
