This is a timely report Wink

It's a start but what about children placed on part time timetables with the schools recording that they are being 'educated elsewhere' when they're not?
What about when the LA simply decides that the child 'won't cope' with a full time education even though they have coped very well at other schools? What about when the LGO also decides that the child wouldn't cope so no fault is found even though there has been failure in the duty to provide a full time education?
I can see what Ofsted are trying to do but when you get absences being 'hidden' I can't see how action will be taken to put this right.

I think exposure is the only way to draw attention to this. Individual stories as part of a research project. MMMmmmm,. starts thinking about it

I'm glad they've picked up on the number of illegal exclusions. It's a start.
