SN children

Here are some suggested organisations that offer expert advice on special needs.

Can anyone recommend a book to teach your child about strangers? TIA

My ds1 who has adhd keeps disappearing as soon as my backs turned. I end up running round the shop looking for him. Ive mentioned strangers but he doesnt really listen and is really friendly to everyone. Although he is friendly to everyone he meets he has no sense of danger and im scared of letting him out of my sight. He loves stories and im wondering is there any books out there to warn your children about strangers? I dont want to take away his friendliness but hes just too friendly. And ive no doubt if someone offered him sweets he would be off with them like a shot. TIA

you could find the names then borrow them at the library and when you find a good one, buy it

You could also look at Jessica Kingsley publishers and the NAS publications catalogue, this is the sort of thing they would do. Or you could try a social story with real pictures of him in it?
