Does anyone have any experience of getting a private assessment from an educational psychologist? Waiting to have him seen by someone in our local authority but been told by other parents that this can take up to 11 months?!? So I'm wondering whether it would be worth sorting something out myself in the mean time. I am aware the statementing panel may be reluctant to accept a report which is not from our own local people, but on the other hand it's got to be better than nothing and I would be interested to see a report just for my own understanding of ds as well as for statementing.
If anyone has any recommendations of someone they have used and found to be good I would really appreciate the details, and rough idea of cost. DS will be 4 next month and has a dx of asd, dvd, dcd and gdd.
