My DS (12) is severely disabled and is about to need surgery which will put him out of action for at least 2 weeks - will be off school during that time.
I am on a work contract which is due to end 2 days after the surgery date, in the next couple of weeks. I don't have another job lined up. As DH is working I will care for him during his convalescence so won't be available for work or to attend interviews.
This presumably means I can't claim jobseekers allowance during that time? Is there any other benefit I can claim? Not sure who I need to ask regarding this?
