DLA Mobility and child tax credits

My ds has recently been awarded high rate mobility. He was already in receipt of high rate care. I was of the opinion that I don't need to notify tax credits as he already receives the severely disabled element but a friend has said I still need to let them know. Anyone know the answer to this one?

As far as I'm aware, they only record the care. No harm in letting them know though.

It is only the care that has an impact on tax credits so you don't need to tell them

I'd let them know, just to be sure, you probably know this, you can get a blue parking badge and a radar key, both very useful.
