There is one teacher and two classroom assistants in my ds class with six children. They are all fantastic and go above and beyond their duties everyday. Was thinking of getting them all a gift voucher each but wanted to give teacher slightly more. Teacher in contact with us daily were as assistants doing a lot of hard work behind the scenes. Just wondering what do other people do. Do you spend more on teacher than teaching assistants? Don't want to offend anyone.

i struggle with this yearly. now, i do the following ds school teacher and TA's very much a team. I buy them all nice bottle of white wine and a big tin of chocs to share in staff room. Dd in mainstream but with TA support. Main TA 1:1 gets gift voucher, second TA gets box of chocs or wine, teacher who probably has least to do with dd gets box of chocs or wine. Senco bottle of wine.

As a Special school TA I can honestly say.. give what you like, to whom you like and don't feel obliged in any way :)
We really don't do the job for the pressies Grin or the pay Shock.

Difficult isn't it despite what Medusa Thanks has said DS has a 1-1 so I always buy her something special (well not really special a Sainsbury's token!!) and buy a tin of biscuits and chocolates for the staff room BORING but easy.
