what are your childs strengths/happy thread

don't know about you But I get fed up with alwaus being negative. you know you have to fill in a form so it has to be the worst day.
so I thought it would be nice to talk about the posotives so here Are mine.

dd is a monster she has a wicked sense of humour and loves winding people up. her smile/laugh can lighten the darkest mood. she is always so pleased when she can do something normally something a nt child would take for granted.
she is just a ray of sunshine

DS1 is very sensitive & loving. He is forever telling me how much he loves me.
DS2 is quite a character & can be a handful, but is ultra cute, very loving & has tonnes of personality.

DS (6) is very funny and just loves drama. He's deaf, otherwise a career in acting would have been right for him! He's also a v good reader, more than 2 years ahead of his chronological age. Also v good with his little sister.

dd1 - loving to her sister, ready to laugh and with a smile, good little footballer, loves to sing and dance, friendly to everyone she meets.

dd2 - very cheeky little monkey, adores her big sister, full of cuddles.

What you see is what you get with my ds. I expect majority of 6 year olds are just beginning to learn about the benefits of manipulation, but ds has remained innocent, for want of a better word. He just doesn't lie, seems he's unable too and it's a breath of fresh air knowing what ever he says I can rely on us the truth. It isn't always a blessing though, especially when he shouts out at the checkout how fat and smelly the lady is in front No-one else has been able to make me laugh as much as he can, he's a diamond.

My son is only 8 month old and all development regressed at the onset of his infantile spasms and we have since found out that he has Williams syndrome.

Sounds corney but his biggest strength is how much hes able to make me and his dad smile just by looking at us and the way he makes us laugh or spitting out vegetables an not being able to open his mouth wide enough for bananas

my ds (12 mo) is so full of charisma - he never fails to adminster a cheesy grin to everyone that looks at him. He screams as though he's been tortured the moment anyone but me or his dad picks him up, and stops themoment we rescue him (never any tears of course), which is a bit of a pita but very funny. He also laughs his head off when dad's pretend fighting with the dog, (which a lot of people find a bit scary)

My dd is senstive and caring; she worries about other people's problems and always puts others before herself. She hates to see someone upset and always sticks up for the underdog

Ds1 tells the silliest jokes I've ever heard. He is remarkably patient with ds2 and will spend ages chattering away to dd. He also has the most imaginative excuses when he doesn't want to do something - "I can't go out. My legs are stuck to the carpet."

Ds2 has a cheeky grin and an ability to charm just about anyone. He idolises ds1 and will do anything and everything for him. He also adores dd and comes running to tell me if she is crying. He is also a master of amateur dramatics and has a "Woe is me!" routine for every occasion.

Dd(3mths) already has her brothers wrapped around her little finger and saves her best gummy smiles for the two of them.

Christa TA- there are some professional Deaf (and deaf) actors and dancers out there. Some dance Cos do workshops/training specificly for deaf kids ( a friends younger bro did them over a number of summer hols).

dd1 is very imaginative and a deep thinker. She "hopes I can change the world before I'm 7"
dd2 is quirky, original and adores her little sister
dd3 is a lovely, cheeky little bundle who makes me laugh every day

Ds1 is extremely patient and tries really hard to include and play with Ds2 even in the face of extreme provocation . He is thoughtful and tries very hard to do the right thing. He is also quite clever and thinks deeply about things.

Ds2 is cuddly and affectionate. He loves a good laugh (especially any kind of toilet humour!) and has a very infectious giggle that soon has us all laughing. He absolutely adores Ds1 and spends ages trotting around after him just to see what he is doing and whether he can join in.
