Are they stupid? Selfish? Self absorbed? Or what. Don't get it.

Should point out that she could have actually turned around as the road is wide at the end she is parked (I've done it enough times to avoid delivery vans).

They need to be told to f off

I did rather enjoy glaring at her as she drove off (she knew - made sure she didn't catch my eye).

I shall make sure ds1 sniffs her car next time she's in it (won't be able to stop him anyway )

Complain to the bus company involved.

Jimjamskeepingoffvaxthreads · 27/06/2006 09:19

That's awful Fio!
I did make sure I talked to the driver and escorts for longer- the driver shouted "alright alright" at her. I don't suppose she has any comprehension that I have to pass on messages via the escorts as ds1 can't do it himself. Oh I sooooo wish the bus had broken down for 10 minutes (sometimes the lift gets jammed- not that ds1 has to use it, but wish it had started flashing or something).

Sorry Jimjams

Thought the bus driver was being an arse hence my response.

Stupid selfish woman indeed. She should have planned her day better.

What an ignorant cow. As this sort of thing will (no doubt) start happening to us, I will be calm and zen like and ignore the perpetrater, feel slighty sorry for her/him because s/he will living their life in a hazy red mist and take a secret deep pleasure in going just that little bit slower

ntt · 27/06/2006 09:29

Lol attila - your post really tickled me for some reason - sorry!

Being in a hurry can have consequences when cars are involved.

One year ago almost to the day now my car was hit side on by some twat who was overtaking when I was starting to turn right. She said she was in a hurry. My car ended up on the wrong side of the road and this vehicle went on to complete lose control at speed. She ended up in the side of a house after veering from one side of the road to the other (fortunately there were no other cars about at that time). Fortunately for the occupants of said house they were not hurt either although badly shaken.

Driver got a large bill for the car and house repairs (owners had to move out for a number of weeks as house was uninhabitable). She also went on a driver improvement course (this was not deemed in the public interest to take it to court).

Apologies for threadjack.

blimey atilla- sounds awful

I used to get held up by a special school bus in the next street when ds1 was at mainstream and I had to drive him there in the morning. It would never have occurred to me to beep it.

southeastastra · 27/06/2006 09:47

what a horrid woman, i would have really taken my time and made her wait extra longer - people are selfish on the road

misdee · 27/06/2006 09:49

i never beep the special buses here (about 4 come to collect children from my part of the street for different school). what is a little patience going to cost people? a few precious minutes?

coppertop · 27/06/2006 09:51

The selfish cow! Heaven forbid she should have to wait an extra couple of minutes.

eidsvold · 27/06/2006 11:13

they are self absorbed petty little weiners..... and they need to find some patience.

anniebear · 27/06/2006 11:19

we have a one way narrow street so the bus always blocks the road. I just wave thanks to the driver behind whilst I get Ellie

No one has beeped yet, I would go mad if they did!

Horrible people

when Dd1 was at SN nursery she used to get a taxi, one day the taxi pulled up outsied and blocked the road, a lady from 4 doors up pulled off her drive and started beeping and shouting at us 'hurry up, I'm late for work' I shouted back 'my daughter has mobility problems so wait' She ended up tearing up onto the pavement and around the taxi Thing is I live in a horseshoe shaped road, she could have just reversed back onto her drive and gone out the other way,.

reiver · 27/06/2006 15:14

We had to call the fire brigade out last year as our chimney caught fire - thankfully minor & soon sorted. But while the fire engine was outside on our narrow road with hoses attached etc dealing with it, one 'neighbour' complained that we were blocking the road and asked the fire officer to move the engine as they were late for something. The fire officer's reply is unprintable!!

Some people really have no compassion jimjams even when children are involved.

2shoes · 27/06/2006 15:24

just have to post. ew live in a culdesac and as we are the first house the bus sometimes blocks the road. no one has ever complained. the driver is very considerate. if he sees my neighbour is about to leave he always lets her get her car our first as he has too block her drive.

WellKnownMemorablePeachyClair · 27/06/2006 16:17

Stupid cow. That simple, really.

(Atilla your post reminded me of a similar thing in our road. Pissed bloke drives down troad after accident, swerves, hits skoda, pushes it through fence and pushes my off the road car into the road. I do first aid on driver- stoved in chest- then go find the girlfdriend he rowed with and walked out on under influence of alcohol. Sort her out to get to hospital, return to the house. My car written off. upshot? Get this. Blood test taken worng on driver so he can't be prosecuted despite admitting a half bottle of whiskey (he was well gone), my car was on the road after the accident with no raod tax (hadn't been on road until hit remember) or insurance. I got done, 6 points.)

Sorry. Still narks me.
