We've finally got a draft assessment from our Social Worker. It's mostly OK (because he cut and pasted it from my DLA application) but it doesn't - to my mind - talk about what support we need at all. It talks about DD a lot, what she can and cannot do. It doesn't, at any point, say "Y needs someone with her 1:1 24/7 and so to enable her to attend therapy and activities she needs funding for x hours from social services because her mother cannot do this and look after a baby at the same time".
I'm being asked to sign the assessment. Is it correct according to the rules, or should I bat it back? I know if a statement was written in these terms I should throw it out but I don't know the SS process as well.
Thanks!
