coppertop · 21/06/2006 15:40

What a nightmare. Dare I ask how it happened?

coppertop · 21/06/2006 15:42

Just spotted your other thread. Poor you. xx

SparklyGothKat · 21/06/2006 15:46

serial casting isn;t too bad, Ds had it twice after Botox. He was able to walk about on the plaster (he had both legs done, imagine the funny looks we got, with people think he had broken both legs and I was making him walk on it ) What I found worse was getting the plaster taken off..... DS screamed the place down...

MABS · 21/06/2006 15:51

Thanks all. Am not too worried if he has to have serial casting, except for the fact that I am in plaster for 6 wks so can't walk drive either!! Am useless

Oh MABS. A broken foot? What a nightmare. You'll have to find some sedate activities to pass the time while it's healing.

emmalou78 · 21/06/2006 18:49

You have my every sympathy, I did mine last september and it was screaming agony... How'd you do it? mine was a heroic dash to save ds2 from an oncoming paramedic car outside the house [ahh the irony ]I didn't get a proper pot though, once the backslab was off I got a moonboot, but I did firmly tell them that there was NO way I could be immobile for 6 weeks as DP woud have ot go back to work and I have no family around to help out so I needed to be mobile for the school run...

I think doing it in barcelona makes it dramatic

Thomcat · 22/06/2006 13:17

Nooooooooooooooooooooooo!
Oh you poor thing, gutted for you.

Cappucino · 22/06/2006 14:18

poor thing

mind you I can't get botox for dd cos of skint health authority and tbh, if it meant breaking my foot, i'd probably give it a go

MABS · 22/06/2006 14:57

Thanks girls, yeah i knew pretty quickly that something was v wrong, but then i ignored it 4 6 hrs and tried cava as pain relief....

Poor you Cappucino, is there no way you can get referred out of area?

Cappucino · 23/06/2006 09:29

mabs i'm hoping so

otherwise i might have to pay to go privately in london, which is mad since we live in lancs

did the cava not work? i tried whisky once for a sprained ankle
