Got this round as a SENCO, thought it was worth a post as I can't see it online:
I am writing to invite your students to our SEN activity morning at the London Transport Museum. This event is dedicated to children with autism.
For two hours, children will be able to attend our walk-in workshops of interactive storytelling session from the acclaimed BagBooks charity. There will also be a drama workshop and various arts and crafts tasks such as badge making and activities specifically tailored towards developing travel awareness.
The event is free of charge for children with their parents / carers and everyone is more than welcome to stay on and enjoy the museum afterwards.
There are two cafés, plenty of toilets and wheelchair access to all of these areas. The Museum is located close to Covent Garden Underground Station and is served extensively by buses along the Strand. Feel free to check the attached map.
The London Transport Museum will open its doors an hour early in order to give your pupils the opportunity to enjoy the quietness of the museum.
The event is taking place on the below dates:
? Sunday 29th September 2013, 9am – 11am.
? Sunday 27th October 2013, 9am – 11am.
? Sunday 17th November 2013, 9am – 11am.
We are anticipating high demand and places are therefore limited.
