?...that is it really.

I know there are always lots of questions about statements....but its so helpful to get your know how...

School have badgered the LA and they say 17hours support to be provided.(hurray to agreement to statement, but not sure 2 hours more than Sa+ is going to cut it)

DS is Asd , not yet dx, with sensory issues and very probably adhd too...

What pitfalls/cop outs do we need to be wary of in the draft so we dont agree to a pointless document.....?

Can we sak for more hours, or just ask for detail of how the hours will be used?

What if we go with this and its not enough?

Thanks

Who decided on 17 hours? who recommended more?

When I got the draft, I checked that part 2 included all needs, then part 3 included provision to meet those needs. Then was provision specified and quantified.

and well done for getting statement Smile

I have not seen any of the contributions to the statement assessment yet......EP said to me during our last interview that 25 hours was being requested.....so I dont know what SEN the LA have stated ds has or what the other proffs
propsed as far as support is conserned
I just have to wait and see.
Thanks for the link....I like to concept of section 2 being the diagnosis of SEN and section 3 the prescription....makes it very clear.
I will read section 2 with interest and check all sen are included and then cross reference each special need with a provision in section 3.

Thanks for the advice.
