Amendments to statement after AR, what a joke!

Can't believe LA's can work like this. We had Annual review July and was discussed that quite a few things needed to be added/changed. At the moment also the statement is not quantified and specified. I sent in a document detailing all the points that needed adding from up to date reports that were also submitted.
All I received was letter to confirm that support level is to be increased and the letter amends part 3 of the statement. I phoned to ask if a new statement would be received and they said that this has not been looked at and would have to go back to panel. Now received a phone call from them asking where I have got all the info from that needs amending and they require proof. I told them that I have only copied what is in the professional reports which they have copies off but still they want me to provided proof. So I have just wasted 2 hours photocopying the reports again and highlighting the sections I have requested to be in the statement. I feel like I am doing their job for them. I bet it is not quantified and specified if I get an updated statement as I cannot write that bit.
Sorry long and I just needed to rant!

I get you, they are paperwork idiotic thicko bastards at times, fucking infuriating!!

I know I have been there. But just do it, plough on, keep at it, photocopy and highlight your arse off because you are doing it for your child and no one else will and when you get the results you want you will be glad you did.

Spell it out for the thick pendantic fuckers!

Let me get this straight.

After an Annual Review they sent you a LETTER saying provision will be increased but they won't be updating the statement to reflect that?

send them an invoice for photocopying charges of x p per page and if they complain say they should be thankful you are not charging them two hours of labour for doing their job for them Wink

When did you get the decision letter after last year's annual review? If it was more than a year ago, tell them they're breaking the law by taking so long and suggest you're going to get legal advice about judicial review. That might speed them up a bit.

The letter is clearly changing the terms/content of the SSEN. Assuming that the letter is the LA decision did it contain the rights of appeal to SEND? If not you have an open ended right to appeal. Lodge an appeal and you may be suprised as to what may happen.

Thanks for replies, I am going to wait to see if they enter the details I have provided in the statement and also to see if ther quantify and specify the support, I bet they don't so I will then be appealing. The speech and Lang therapist said dd needs 1 hr one to one a week but it looks like school have decided to support another 5 children at the same time seeing as though having to buy recourses and provide the time for dd. does that sound like one to one support to you?
