Ive just posted a picture of ds in his uniform on his first day at school to my profile. He isn't looking too happy, but very cute and he went to school after being out of school for over year!

I will delete the picture shortly, but just wanted to share with you guys as without your help and support it wouldn't have been possible.

aw bless him, he does looked slightly perturbed at having his picture taken, but yes, he is incredibly cute

enjoy the rest of your day - what will you do with it?

i know, don't tell me...all the things you couldn't do with DS around Wink

Yey!!

Sounds like you managed his anxiety levels just right. Smile

The fear of them not attending the parental choice of school - and not having a Plan B - is huge.

We had an awful nights sleep, 3.30am, so I am going to try and catch up on some sleep!

Ds is looking incredible uncomfortable having to wear uniform, but he did it!

Thank you Polter, yes today will be the longest time he has spent dressed for a over year. He was obvious very anxious this morning, but he coped so well all things considered.

Im hoping that he settled quickly morning and maybe even enjoyed some things today.

Claw - How did his day go?

Ineedmorepatience · 05/09/2013 18:34

Amazing well done claw and smallclaw Grin

He does look very anxious but it is a massive thing for him to do.

Hope his day went well Smile

youarewinning · 05/09/2013 20:38

He is very cute.

I hope he and you both had a good day.

claw2 · 06/09/2013 07:56

Towiela it went well. He walked down the stairs chatting away to a little girl and smiling and actually volunteered the info that he had PE but that he didn't like it, so didn't join in. He said he ate two bits of bread without butter for lunch and drank water. He helped a little girl look for spiders at playtime and she screamed!

Today he seems less anxious, he refused to get dressed, but there was no repeating "im not going to school" or refusing to come downstairs etc.

Polter, such a huge improvement to what he used to be like a year ago. He was head butting walls, cutting himself with scissors, having suicidal ideas and talking of wishing he was dead all the time. To get him to school, I would have had to drag him there in his pj's, with him trying to hurt himself.

He was crying this morning when I dropped him off, but its only his second day and he was showing no real signs of distress, other than a few tears. Give it a few weeks and im sure even this will improve.
