Can I claim Carers allowance?

I've just found out that my son will start to receive DLA and obviously as I'm his carer, will I be allowed to claim Carers Allowance, even though I'm receiving it for my daughter?

AFAIK you can only receive Carer's allowance for one child/adult. I claim and receive the allowance for caring for my 19 year old DS. I know I can't claim as well for my 8 year old DD although she gets middle rate care.

No sadly, I also found out that I could only claim for one.
