i phoned them up today about the appeal process, and questioned why on her letter about cklaim being turned down it mentioned making/preparing a meal for herself. the lady at the end of the phone said that that didnt seem right, so said to photocopy it, highlight it and send a questioning letter. i have done this now and sent it off. hopefully will have an answer about DLA in the next few weeks.

does anyone know how long the appeal should be?

good luck misdee hope it all gets sorted for you hun.

I have asked for them to reconsider my DT2's claim also they say he only needs an additional hour a day care- maybe they should come live with me thenGrin

Said it could be up to 11 weeks for the reconsideration

That's the criteria for over 16's misdee.

Our appeal was 9 months from the date of the original claim - but I believe that was exceptionally slow!
