Hi there

Thinking of re-locating and a major factor will be the support and services for my 15 yr old with autism. I would really appreciate any input on this. Thanks

I live in Wet Sussex and have not found them very good with funding services for young people with AS unless you are prepared to spend a lot of time and money fighting, which we have had to do. Services do appear better in East Sussex. It is a real post code lottery. It may be worth doing some research in this area before moving. I realise that you are asking about education but it is only part of transition. Hope you don't mind me deviating on the theme.

Hi Badgers thank you for your input/help. You are so right about doing research. The one positive about where I live is the support is fantastic all round, I just don't like living here!

West sussex are very very stingy. I used to work there and i sent in reams of paperwork on kids who needed far more support. Nada. They are massively in debt and have cut all their services.

If you are talking about fe colleges the Brinsbury and Plumpton are both good with SEN. Merrist Wood in Surrey, not good with SEN.
