lansoprazole - anything else I can try to get it into ds?!

Ds was prescribed omperazole, which I found impossible to get into him.

So paed prescribed lansoprazole fast melts, saying to dissolve in 5 ml of juice or water. There are 2 problems. One is that it says to take it 2 hours before or after other reflux meds, and 30 mons - 1 hour before or after food. Ds has domperidone 3 x a day, and eats small snacky meals throughout the day (won't eat a 'meal'). So I am struggling with timing.

The second problem is that I have tried dissolving it in juice as suggested and even if he swallows most of it, he manages to spit the bits out. I have tried concealing it in yoghurt, chocolate pudding (despite the food rule) and puree. It all ends up being spat or dribbled out in disgust.

Any other ideas? I am wishing they did a suppository version!

I found lansoprazole hard enough to get into me because of the rules about when I could take it! More often than not, I forgot (and when i did take it, ended up with churny guts)

Thanks Ouryve.

I had some success with mixing it up with a spoonful of ds's favourite sweet baby jar today, but now worry that I will have given him stomach ache by giving it to him with food!!
