Forward facing car seat for child with CP

Hello, can anyone recommend a forward facing car seat for my little girl with CP. she is 16 months and small weighing just over 9kg. she has good head control and can sit unaided but she does have a weakish tone in her core. My main worry is her slumping forward when she dozes off.

Have not got a clue what one to choose.

She would be a lot safer remaining rear facing, to be honest - not only is slumping when she sleeps likely to be a problem, she would be more vulnerable than a child with normal tone, in a collision. You'll get more suggestions on the carseat forum, here on mumsnet, but the Britax two way elite gets good reviews and supposedly fits in most cars.

its been a few years so cant remember what it was called but we found the only way ds2 could get enough support in a standard car seat was to make sure it was a reclining seat & we just left it constantly reclined.
He was long but thin, so looked all scrunched up in his rear facing but like your dd had poor muscle control (mild cp) so struggled in a forward facing

Get a britax age birth to four years and keep it rear facing for as long as possible. My dd 2.7 is still rear facing in hers it is much safer, I would keep it reclined all the time for comfort.

Yep- forgot to mention that we kept DS2 reclined in a seat for as long as possible.

Thanks for the advice!
Although small, she is long and looks cramped in the rear facing baby seat and is constantly sat forward crooking her neck to see what is going on.
Will take a look at the car seat section.
