Hi, have any of you taken your children to the Lake District? We are planning too, but just wonder if it would be enjoyable for our DD?
She is 8 years old and has severe learning difficulties. She can't cope with a lot of walking and needs there to be toilet within running distance of where ever she is. Grin
She loves nature and being outdoors, but does get bored quite easily. We know she'll love the Beatrix potter world and a boat trip, but is there anything else for children? Also, would it be a suitable place to take her buggy?
Thanks. Smile

Might she like Grizedale Sculpture Park? The sculptures are scattered round in the forest; there is a visitor centre with toilets and at least one hard-surface trail that would be suitable for a buggy or wheelchair.

That looks brilliant. Thank you! Smile
