DS2 is a lanky great 16 yr old with ASD and moderate LDs. he is a fully developed 6 ft male. With NO understanding of sex.

In some ways it's quite handy, frankly I'd rather he was obsessing over film statistics (his obsession) that women, but on the other had he is starting a special needs course at college in September where rumour has it, it's a hot bed of romance amongst all the learning disabled teens! He has done a little sex ed at school but doesn't seem to have taken much on board.

This morning he was upset because he thought he had wet himself (wet dream) and while I explained..again.. how it was ok and how his willy will do that, I feel I need to find resources to help explain the mechanics, and a bit about sex.

if anyone has any suggestions or links I would be grateful. DS2 can read as well but his understanding is very patchy :/

Sorry I don't have any advice to offer. DD had sex-ed at school and finds it all yucky and revolting.

I just wanted to ask, If it's a hot bed of romance, he might develop an interest and maybe start seeking more information then?

I keep saying DD that sex is not the mechanics, but all about the relationship, when she is ready...

I did some work experience with Mencap and one of the things they did was have sessions for young adults specifically about sex, relationships, social interaction, etc. They had slide shows, picture and written information and a question and answer session. They had between 6 and 10 people in each session and the discussions got quite interesting :)
