sleeping bags for everyday - aspie

Have tried a weighted blanket with DS but he kicks it off and it ends up on the floor. He also manages to work his duvet out of its cover every single ruddy night and ends up sleeping wrapped in either the cover or the naked duvet like a cocoon. So I have decided to spend a bit of his new DLA on a cotton sleeping bag that he can sleep in every night and I can wash. Has anyone got any good ones to recommend? Obv when I find one that works I will buy more than one so I can wash one and have him in one...
I know you can buy sleeping bag liners but I imagine that he will get all twisted up in one, so I want to try a good heavish cotton bag first.

Better than cotton cos they wash and dry brilliantly.
DC1 went through a sleeping bag phase, & then the others copied.
Wash days were bliss without all the sheets, duvets etc

Thanks Mumu...Won't he get very sweaty though, if it's not cotton?

I gave up on finding anything cotton to back up the ancient cotton one we do have and picked up a bed throw in a next sale. Just enough weight without the noise of the synthetic bags!

How old is your son? Grobags go up to six years if he's taller you could buy the biggest size and make a DIY extension by sewing extra material to the bottom if you see what I mean

Whenwilli...he's almost 12, so a bit old for that shape of bag which he (and his brothers!) would view as a 'baby' bag, unfotunately. I found that snugglesacs do sen sleeping bags in that shape up to age 10, but the prints are 'young' and he'd prob be too big anyway. He's quite tall...

That looks good, polter - except my ds has a double bed, which he vacates when we have visitors ( it was a condition of him having his own room!). I am looking at this, which looks like a duvet but can be zipped up at night, except it's so pricey, has anyone used one?

Sorry to resurrect this thread - but did you ever find the perfect sleeping bag? I'm also trying to find an every day one for my autistic son! Thanks!

Slumbersac go all the way up to adult sizes and I’ve always found them great! My son is 5 and we still use the ones without feet. Those ones go up to age 10 and the ones with feet all the way up to adult.

Thanks so much! I've just had a good look at this site. Looks really interesting. Sadly not a single one available with no feet in age 6-10, but will keep checking back!

@Worriedmotheroftwo I had a look this morning as my son needs to size up to 6-10 soon (in the traditional sleeping bag with no feet) and they did seem to have some 1 tog, 2.5 tog and 3.5 tog bags in stock. They are super expensive though so I tend to buy 2 at a time until I have 2 of each size. They quite often have sales and I have seen them on eBay too sometimes :)
