Suggestions please for non sleep due to heat!

weather glorious but playing havoc with ds who is only happy in his tight wetsuit in water!

he is a pressure child and constantly uses cushions and backs of sofas or fleeces to gain th weighty feel.

Of course it is now stifling hot and he is having a constant battle with wanting his duvet and fleece on but then irritated that he is boiling so kicking it off then irritated as he can't sleep with out it.

he had to have a sleep in school today for two hours!

any ideas please?

Ds is having trouble sleeping, he has to have long sleeve/leg pj's on and his duvet. I have two fans on in the room, helps to cool me down, but he doesn't like them blowing on him. Would your ds be ok with fans?

The other thing I thought of which I will be trying tonight is hot bottle filled with cold water. As despite ds liking the weight, he is a cold boy and likes cold.

We have a column fan that is almost silent.
Last night, DS apparently liked the cold flannel on the head so much that he dampened an entire bathtowel and slept under that.
Good thing we have mattress protectors.

Ah! I had a column thingy when ds was born as it was so hot then. Think I am going to attack the loft a sec. small fans no good as ds is fine with them but jack Russell tries to bite the blades going round in the grills lol!

That sounds like a great idea Polter, I will give that a go too. Although with my sewing skills, Summer will be over before I finish!

hmmmm I could start now and finish by the time he is 16 lol any other craft fine apart from sewing!

it is a great idea though might bribe MIL :)
