Prob a bit of a stupid question but is there any funding available somewhere for specific things?

IN the last week my ds has discovered how to escapr over our fence at the back which backs on to open fields, streams, sheep etc etc. NOT safe. I really really can't afford it atm, if i'd tought about this a month ago I could have which is annoying me, I bought some garden furniture for £200 when i got some unexpected money!!

Any ideas otherwies how to make my garden secure without blocking the view??

Perhaps I sould add that this fence (wirey thingy) already has barbed wire over the top. Having tried to run away whilst losing it earlier it does wory me. I guess I could just keep him out of the garden..

I suppose that's another thing, he does have some kind of sn and he qualifies for dla which I suppose is meant to cover things like that too?? The school are convinced he has autism, albeit if he has he is on the mild end of the scale. He regularly has what you'd call melt downs though and often places himself in danger, he nearly strangled himself at school 10 days ago!!!

He's had an assessment at school with an autism assessment team who also agree, we have an appt with a dev paed in 2 weeks so may/may not have a dx soon.

Does any of that make sense??

Do you think? I feel mortally embarrassed just starting this thread, i'm honestly not afer what money I can get but having lost him yet again today has just got me thinking.

anniebear, oh I love it, I really do. I often just sit by the window to destress. I count myself very lucky for being able to live here (and I ignore the M5 in the background!!).

I've decided not to apply for funding and i'm going to save up for it instead, there are families which more pressing needs that need that money I think. In the meantime I'm just going to have to get better at running and scaling barbed wire myself!!
