Today Breakfast featured David Mitchell talking about life with his autistic five year old son. His Japanese wife found the above publication on Amazon Japan and it has now been translated into English. The book is out Thursday of this week.

I mention this as it may be helpful for some parents on here to read.

May even give my son's school a copy!.

Read about this yesterday thanks to a link to Guardian article here. Pre ordered it on Amazon last night.
Looks good.

I heard this serialised on Radio 4 last week. It was their book of the week and is still on Iplayer I think. Thought it was incredibly insightful and moving. Will also be ordering.

I read the extract at the end of this article and ordered it immediately.

It's 6.99 on a kindle and out on Thursday if that's any use.

Thanks for the heads up on the radio4 serialisation, off to check that out.

Been listening to this and thought it was amazing. I have no experience of autism but feel I have developed an incredible insight and was so moved by it.

On Listen Again here.

Be quick, though, episode one will disappear soon.

Woman's Hour featured David Mitchell talking about it too.
