family fund receipts?????

got granted some money from the family fund for a holiday, we havent booked one yet as ds has only just come out of plaster and isnt allowed to do any activitys for 4-5 weeks, yesterday he took his mattress of his bed and broke the support beams so he now needs a new bed but we havent got the money for a new one, do you think we could use the holiday money to buy him a new one as i really cant see us getting away for a holiday??
im just worried if we do in case the family fund want proof of receipt from a holiday that we should of booked.

I dont think they check up, we got some money for a holiday years ago but went on holiday
they never asked for receipts

you could always phone and explain situation and you will probably find they will be ok with it as it is for your child anyway
but instead of a hol a bed is needed

We have applied 3 times and have never been asked for receipts, But I am sure they will randomaly ask for them

Just to add to this , we were asked for receipts atwo years after we went away . If you ring and explain the problem , they might let you re apply for the bed and other things, ie clothing bedding as well as the holiday . Always worth a phone call or go online.
