Hey all, been a while since I posted but I have been lurking and now I've reached the long awaited possible ASD diagnosis appointment for DS. I'd like a little advice please.
I got a phone call at the beginning of the week asking if I was ok to have a fill in peadiatrician do DS's parental interview and feedback meeting as his Peadiatrician is on long term sick leave. DS has already had the ADOS and I said I was fine with this as no one seems to know when she will be back and they then offered me both appointments on the same day next week, Parental Interview in the morning and then The feedback in the afternoon.
2 days later I got the confirmation letters for the appointments and on the feedback one it said that representatives from both DS's school and the family support service from Burgess Autistic Trust.
My questions are is this a good thing? do they ussually do both these on the same day and do they automatically invite some one from BAT if they aren't going to make a diagnosis? I'm a worrier by nature and I keep asking myself have they already made a decision, as both on same day doesn't really seem to give alot of time for the fill in Dr to really go through all the info from both interviews and if they have what kind of decision did they come to.
I'm a little nervous
any reassurance is welcome right now
