May the force be with you.....

I'm back.

I am not overly happy.

Despite actuallly going to school she has managed to slip backwards academically.

Science. Predicted ABB. Currently getting Es and Us.

English. Predicted BB. Currently getting Ds (and not using any punctuation, paragraphs or caputals)

Maths. Was predicted B. Now being moved down a group, will manage a C if she's lucky.

So bloody frustrating.

She's having a strop upstairs. I'm drinking Wine.

And I've got an evil cold. Drove about 4 thousand miles to a funeral yesterday and have 40 people descending on me tomorrow for a Do. My house is too small and tatty. I can't cook. And the dog isn't well.

OP posts:
TaggieCampbellBlack · 14/03/2013 19:37

And I am old, fat, ugly and cold.

OP posts:
lougle · 14/03/2013 19:37

Oh Taggie Sad At least they can't say there isn't a problem? Wine

Ineedmorepatience · 14/03/2013 19:38

Sorry it didnt go so well taggieSad
Try to be kind to yourself.

EllenJaneisstillnotmyname · 14/03/2013 19:40

Well, you are significantly younger than me at least... Wink

Sorry, Taggie, sounds like a shite parents evening. What are her predicted grades based on? Some sort of Yellis or CAT test?

TaggieCampbellBlack · 14/03/2013 19:43

Who knows. Its all a bit of a bloody mystery.

She is bright. She could be so capable. But she hides behind her fringe and doesn't think she can so won't even bloody try.

OP posts:
TaggieCampbellBlack · 14/03/2013 19:46

Since she was born I have told her she could do anything, be anything, but she won't believe it.

OP posts:
EllenJaneisstillnotmyname · 14/03/2013 19:47

She's missed quite a bit last year. Hopefully she can still catch back. Will this give her a scare and a boost or set her back?

TaggieCampbellBlack · 14/03/2013 19:51

I hope it might give her a kick in the right direction. But. .......

More Wine

Might make cake too.

EllenJaneisstillnotmyname · 14/03/2013 19:54

I'll join you in Wine then. I'm old and cold, (but slim and beautiful, except for my skin, which has melted) my house is verging on dirty and the boys are with their dad, the dickhead this weekend.

TaggieCampbellBlack · 14/03/2013 20:03

Wine Grin

I bought new teatowels earlier because I was ashamed if our old ones.

DH looked at me like Hmm

He's right. This house is a horrible broken tip. Too much stuff all over. Too much filth and holes in the doors.

OP posts:
EllenJaneisstillnotmyname · 14/03/2013 20:05

New tea towels not high on his list of priorities, then? Grin

TaggieCampbellBlack · 14/03/2013 20:21

He's pleased I didn't get a new carpet and decorate the entire house.

OP posts:
Handywoman · 14/03/2013 20:53

Taggie I'm sorry, did they come up with any positive suggestions or was it simply doom and gloom? Sorry, I don't know the background to your dd's absence. I would offer our house here, if only to show you somewhere tattier and dirtier? Nothing else to add except a top up Wine
